Full Support for Türkiye’s 501st in the YKS!
We shared in the joy of Kenan Yılmaz, a graduate of Çan Science High School, who achieved an outstanding success by ranking 501st in Türkiye in this year’s YKS (AYT) exam. Kenan, who has been admitted to Boğaziçi University’s Computer Engineering program, was presented with a gift prepared by the District Governor’s Office under the sponsorship of Çan2 Termik Power Plant. We are proud to stand alongside young talent and support their achievements.

Meaningful Karadeniz Visit with Çan2 Thermal Power Plant’s Support

Families of martyrs and our veterans residing in Çanakkale took part in a six-day, seven-night “Karadeniz Morale and Motivation Tour” with the support of Çan2 Thermal Power Plant. Organised jointly by the Çanakkale Martyrs and Veterans Association and the Çanakkale Branch of the Turkish Veterans and Martyrs Foundation, this social responsibility project brought together a group of 80 participants who visited historically and culturally significant cities of the Karadeniz coast.


The goals of the trip were social solidarity, morale and motivation. During the trip, martyrs' graves, the homes of veterans and sites of spiritual significance were visited. This special journey, enriched by the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the Karadeniz, also served as an opportunity to strengthen meaningful bonds between the families of martyrs and veterans.

 Ali Kemal Kazancı, Vice Chairman of the Board of Çan2 Thermal Power Plant, the main supporter of this project, stated: “We are deeply pleased to support the realisation of this meaningful initiative. As Çan2 Thermal Power Plant, it is highly valuable for us to be part of such a journey that strengthens the morale of our veterans and the families of our martyrs, while also reinforcing our sense of unity and solidarity.”

Çan’s Liberation Day

We proudly celebrated the 103rd anniversary of the liberation of Çan District of Çanakkale, where our Çan2 Thermal Power Plant is located, with great enthusiasm and pride once again this year. The celebrations, held under our main sponsorship, not only commemorated this historic milestone but also created special moments that revived the spirit of unity. As part of the events organised with Çan Municipality, the beloved artist Manuş Baba met with the people of Çan, and there were also sports matches, competitions, cultural performances and commemoration programmes.

By aligning our energy production activities with social benefit, we continue to add value to the region not only through industrial investments but also through our support for historical, cultural, and social heritage.

Summer Football School Kicks Off in Çan
We are supporting ÇanSpor Summer Football School again this year. The summer sports schools for the 2025 season began with a magnificent event in Çan, organised jointly by Çan2 Thermal Power Plant and Çan Municipality. Young athletes from Çanakkale, Biga, Lapseki and Yenice took part in the football festival held at the Çan İbrahim Bodur Stadium. Throughout the day, various treats were offered to the young athletes, and there were many enjoyable moments that demonstrated the unifying power of sport. We are proud to be part of this meaningful organisation that nurtures future athletes.

Çan2 Thermal Power Plant Supports Turkish Folk Music!
As the main sponsor of the “Hikayeleriyle Türkülerimiz” concert, Çan2 Thermal Power Plant proudly supported the Türkü Dostları Choir, organized by the Çan Public Education Centre. The event drew significant interest from the local community and offered the audience an unforgettable night of Turkish folk music. With a meticulously selected repertoire, the choir and soloists delivered a rich musical experience, celebrating the deep-rooted stories and melodies of Anatolia.
